Before you do this step, make sure you’ve done Step 1 first. The guide for step one is here:
- Step 1: Set up your phone for your smart lights
Once you've done that, you're ready to plug in your first light bulb!
Install the bulb in the socket and turn on the light switch. The bulb should start flashing about twice a second. If it doesn't, just turn the switch off and on again three times, and then wait about three seconds. It may take one or two goes for the bulb to start flashing quickly.
Once the bulb is flashing quickly, open the Smart Life app on your phone, and press the blue cross in the top right hand corner.
On the next page select "Lighting" on the left hand side, and then "Lighting (Wifi)"
The next step requires you to enter your wifi password. You only need to do this the first time - the app will helpfully remember the next time.
Then, select the "Fast Blinking" option. The app will then search for the bulb.
Once the app has found the bulb, it will give you the option to re-name it. We suggest naming it something easy to remember, based on where the bulb is. You can now add more bulbs, or you can set up your voice assistant to control your smart lights.
