Before you can connect your lights to Google, you need to have done the following two steps:
- Installed the Smart Life app on your phone (Guide here)
- Installed at least one smart lightbulb (Guide here)
If you've done both of those things, you're ready to connect to Google Home! In order to do that, you need to connect the "Smart Life" app to Google. It is a straightforward process, and detailed instructions are provided below:
Go to the Google Home app, and select "Settings".
Scroll down and select "Works with Google".
A long list of apps will appear. Search for "Smart Life", and select the app shown in the picture.
Enter your email address and the password you used to set up the Smart Life app.
Select "Authorize"
Google will now prompt you to add any bulbs you have already set up to your Home and to a room. Adding bulbs to rooms is useful for controlling them at the same time. Enjoy your voice activated lights!
